Understanding and Recognizing Dementia in IDD
This Module is designed to provide basic knowledge and information about people with IDD and Dementia. Learning objectives include:
- Increasing knowledge about Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementia (ADRD) in individuals with IDD.
- Learning to recognize changes in individuals with IDD.
- Introducing strategies for caring for a person with IDD and ADRD.

Video Notes:
- On first use, you will encounter a Data Preference screen asking for consent to store small amounts of data on your browser.
